Chefs to give their best for seniors

Seven chefs from area hotels and restaurants will prepare some of their best recipes for the annual Senior Concerns Ultimate Dining Experience on Aug. 3 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Thousand Oaks.

The 23rd annual event will start at 5 p.m. and include silent and live auctions, wine and a gourmet dinner.

Tickets, priced at $200 each, are available by calling Senior Concerns at 497-0189 or by logging on to http://www.seniorconcerns.org.

Proceeds will benefit Senior Concerns' community-based services, including Meals on Wheels, adult day center, caregiver information seminars, Senior Advocates information and counseling service, Ventura County's Alzheimer's Day Care Resource Center, financial abuse specialist team, and Bargain Boutique & Thrift Shop.

Since 1975, the Thousand Oaks-based nonprofit social service agency has served thousands of frail and special-need seniors and their caregiver families in Ventura and western Los Angeles counties.
