Bill Gates: The Microsoft chairman has retired to devote more time to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. On Friday, Gates, 52, had his last day as a full-time worker at the software giant, but will remain as the company's chairman and largest stockholder.

A bad week for ...

Henry Samueli: The co-founder of Broadcom Corp. and billionaire philanthropist pleaded guilty to lying to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as it probed stock option backdating at the chip maker.
