Fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society
Entertainment and a silent auction are on the schedule when the Humane Society of Ventura County holds its annual picnic and fundraiser Sept. 21, Cats in the Canyon — Hounds in the Hollow.
The fundraiser is from 2 to 5 p.m. at Boccali's Restaurant in Ojai.
Music will be provided by the Iron Mountain Boys, and all proceeds will benefit the Humane Society.
Several cats and dogs from the shelter will be available for people to meet and adopt.
Cats in the Canyon — Hounds in the Hollow began last year as the official event of the Humane Society of Ventura County.
Tickets are $40 in advance for adults and $20 for children.
Tickets bought on the day of the event are $50 for adults and $25 for children. The fee includes a picnic lunch.
