Reception set tonight for women's exhibit

The Ojai Valley Museum will hold a reception tonight for a new exhibit that honors women who made an impact on the city.

The exhibit, titled Smart and Sassy: Artistic Historic Women of Ojai," honors 17 women who made an impact on the Ojai Valley in art, architecture, ceramics, sculpture, theater, writing and music. It runs until Sept. 28.

The reception is from 5 to 7 tonight at the museum, 130 W. Ojai Ave.

It will include portrayals of five of the women being honored by the Dames to Duchesses, a local acting group, plus living histories by two other local women.

The cost is $25 per person, and reservations may be made by calling the museum office at 640-1390.
