Has the high cost of fuel and the domino affect it has had on our economy made things difficult for your family? Has this situation impacted your summer plans with the children? No need to worry!

There are still summer camp openings for children, ages 7-13, at the Society of St. Vincent de Pauls Circle V Ranch Camp near beautiful Santa Barbara. And, if qualified, your child can attend the following camp sessions for pennies on the dollar:

  • June 30 to July 5 ($35 per child)
  • July 13-18 ($55 per child)
  • August 6-11 ($55 per child)

Each childs camp excursion will include lodging, three meals a day, swimming, sports, crafts, hiking, music and drama, nature study, campfires, a beach trip and the opportunity to meet new friends in a secure and positive environment. Campers also will be surrounded by caring counselors whose goal is to make each childs week as memorable as possible. The regular cost per child per week is $300.

Being a child is all about having fun. Boys and girls shouldnt have to suffer from the harsh realities of life, says Ray Lopez, director of Circle V Ranch. Our camp allows children to enjoy the outdoors, while they are introduced to new life-skills.

These special camperships are made possible due to the generosity of the following contributors: the Carrie Estelle Doheny Foundation, the Dan Murphy Foundation, the Santa Barbara Foundation, the James E. Dolan Trust, the Los Angeles Times, the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, the Societys Vincentian volunteers and the USDA (equal opportunity provider and employer).

To see if your child qualifies for this special low rate (first-come, first-served basis), please call the camp office of the Societys Council of Los Angeles at 323-224-6213.
