BOXING
Garcia to fight on Las Vegas card
Miguel Angel Garcia (12-0, 10 knockouts) of La Colonia/PAL Boxing Club in Oxnard will be featured tonight on a fight card at the Orlens Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Garcia will be fighting South Korea's Jae-Sung Lee (9-1, six KOs).
Garcia is trained by his brother, Robert, a former world champion.
BASEBALL
Komatsu named All-American
Cal State Fullerton's Erik Komatsu of Camarillo earned third-team All-America honors by Baseball America and the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association.
Komatsu, a former star from Oxnard College and Camarillo High, signed with the Milwaukee Brewers after being drafted in the eight round.
At Fullerton, Komatsu batted .355 with six triples, 54 RBIs, nine homers, a .593 slugging percentage and a .459 on-base percentage. The junior was a first team All-Big West Conference selection.
