Miss Rebecca Ann Perkins and Lt. Shaun Michael Miller were united in marriage on Saturday, September 8th 2007 at The Messiah Lutheran Church in Keller, TX. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Glenn Huebel, with music by the Forte Strings Ensemble. The celebration continued at the Ashton Depot, in Fort Worth, with a dinner reception and dance hosted by the brides parents.

On the eve of the wedding, the grooms parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Shady Brook Manor in Addison, TX. The bride is the daughter of Lt. Col and Mrs. John Perkins of Grapevine, TX. The groom is the son of Lt. Col and Mrs. Randy Miller of Austin, TX and the grandson of the late Robert and Delia McAllister of Ventura. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a pearl satin gown, and a tiara with a finger tip length illusion veil. She carried a cascade of cream roses, calla lilies, and pearl studded stephanotis. She was attended by her sister as her maid of honor, Rachel Perkins of Grapevine, TX and bridesmaids Shannon Miller, sister of the groom, of Austin, TX, Joanna Miller, sister-in-law of the groom, of Abilene, TX, and friends of the bride, Magen Shearrer of Pleasanton, TX and Elizabeth Wetzel of Lawton, OK. The bridesmaids wore teal strapless gowns of satin, and pearl necklaces and earrings, a gift from the bride. They carried bouquets of white and coral roses with sprigs of pearls. The flower girl was Waverly Frisbie of Addison, TX, cousin of the groom, and she wore white satin and a floral wreath as a crown. Capt. Ryan Miller, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Scott Stankey of Ventura, Tyler Frisbie of Addison, TX, both cousins of the groom, and friends of the groom, Jake Baker, of Austin, TX and Daniel Wetzel, of Lawton, OK. The brides brothers, Steven and Tobin Perkins of Grapevine, TX served as ushers. The ring bearer was Levi Brandt of Southlake, TX, cousin of the bride. The groom and his men wore black tuxedos.

The bride attended Colleyville Heritage High School and attends Texas A&M University in College Station, where she will receive her degree in Parks and Recreation this fall. The groom attended James Bowie High School in Austin, TX and was a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station and received his degree in Economics. He is a Platoon Commander in the USMC and is stationed at Camp Lejeune in NC. The couple resided in their beach side home in Emerald Isle, NC until January. The groom was then deployed to Afghanistan where he will remain until November of 2008. When the couple reunites in November, they plan to honeymoon on the coast of Mexico.
