Two school district principals departing
Two principals in the Oxnard Union High School District will be leaving their positions July 1.
Rio Mesa High School Principal Rene Rickard is moving to the Ventura Unified School District, where she will be the new director of student performance and program evaluation.
Hueneme High School Principal John Saunders is transferring to the Oxnard Union district office, where he will take over as director of special education, said Superintendent Jody Dunlap.
The current director of special education, Kimberly Tresvant, will be the new director of human resources.
Denise Barnett, the current director of human resources, is retiring in July, Dunlap said.
District officials are searching for new principals for Rio Mesa and Hueneme highs and should announce selections at the July 21 school board meeting, Dunlap said.
