Ceballos, Alston, 36 Mafia highlight VC alumnae game

The eighth annual Jox vs. Jocks game this afternoon at Ventura College will, once again, pit the DJs from Q104.7 FM against the VC women's basketball alumnae.

But the annual charity event is expected to offer much more this year, including appearances by former VC stars Cedric Ceballos and Rafer Alston, who led the Houston Rockets to a 22-game winning streak earlier this year.

Oscar winners 36 Mafia will judge the pregame slam dunk competition. Former VC star Anthony Pimble is expected to defend his title.

The Ventura County Spirit Company will perform throughout the event. R&B singer Lloyd and other musical guests will perform at halftime.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Tipoff is at 1 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door.
