Club/international experience: Dr Schroeder is considered one of water polo's all-time standout players. Captained the National Team from 1983-1992 and coached Pepperdine University's Men's team for 20 years. Schroder was the USA team captain of the squad that finished second to Yugoslavia at both the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games and placed fourth at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.

High school: To date one of his biggest moment in the sport, Schroeder said, was being named All-American for San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, CA.

Up Close and Personal: Dr. Schroeder loves the sport. Being a long time National level player which has given him the tools to be Head Coach and ability to push current players to do their best. Terry's lifelong dream is to be Head Coach in the Olympic Games. He says his mental preparation for one of the world's toughest sports includes teaching teamwork and stopping by his office on the way to practices. "It helps me enormously in dealing with the pressures of coaching the Olympic team," Terry said.

Bringing home an Olympic gold medal would be "the fulfillment of a lifelong dream," he added. "I have followed water polo since I was in elementary school." Terry is married to Dr. Lori Schroeder; between them they have a very successful Chiropractic business in Westlake Village.

Did you know: His exercising, taking the girls to school, and dividing the rest of the day between water polo and chiropractic. Favorite food BBQ, favorite thing to do walk on the beach with my wife. One of the all time favorite sports moments was beating longtime nemesis Yugoslavia for the FINA Cup. I love to read inspirational books and learn from others.

What's next after Olympics?: I am taking this step by step and going to look at the impact coaching the team has on my family and my practice. I hope to be able to do this again but only time will tell.
