What are your questions?
We started Ask Allison here at The Star's business section to help you get answers to your business questions.
Whether you have questions about a recent story, a tech question, a question about a local business or are simply curious about a business term or topic, this column is here for you. I do my best to track down answers online and through expert sources and report what I find back to you.
You can click on the link to the left and take a look at previous questions and answers.
You also can send your questions my way at abruce@VenturaCountyStar.com. Or, since you're here right now, you can post your question in a comment below if you would prefer.
So now it's my turn to ask: What are your questions?
— Allison Bruce is out of the office. She'll resume posting regular Ask Allison questions and answers when she returns.

When banks pool mortgages to sell to FNMA, the loan docs have to accompany the pool of mortgages. Unfortunately, FNMA merges pools from various banks and breaks some pools down before merger. Do the docs pass along with these pool divisions and mergers?
My sister who lives in Michigan tells me that many of their vacant foreclosed properties cannot be sold, because noone knows who the actual owner is. So doesn't it seem that the title search is not working for securitized loans?
How much truth is there to these allegations?
THanks
