Congratulations Rachel & Philip
On Saturday, April 5, 2008, Rachel Susanne Sears and Philip Richard Casanta were united in marriage. The ceremony and reception were held at the Crowne Plaza in Ventura.
Ms. Sears is the daughter of David and Susan Sears of Central Square, New York. She is a 1996 graduate of Syracuse University and is currently enrolled in a masters degree program in sport management at the University of San Francisco. She is a professional triathlete and coach.
The groom, son of Phil Harris Casanta of Ojai and Shirley Lorraine Spencer of Ventura, is a 1987 graduate of Buena High School and holds an A.S. degree from Ventura College. He is a bicycle fit specialist and coach. Together, the couple owns & operates Hypercat Racing, Inc. (www.hypercatracing.com), a coaching and consulting company. They reside in Richmond, California.
