Thousand Oaks' Bandy earns top player honor

Jett Bandy of Thousand Oaks is the player of the year for the Marmonte League baseball team.

Calabasas' Greg Selarz is the pitcher of the year.

Matt LaBelle of Simi Valley and Frank Mutz of Thousand Oaks are the co-coaches of the year.

Named to the all-league first team were: Cutter Dykstra, Westlake; Justin Fredlander, Calabasas; Tom Hocutt, Chad Smith and Kyle Thomas, Thousand Oaks; Brent Keys, Jonathan Meyer and Nick Russo, Simi Valley; Jack Marder, Newbury Park; Michael Moris and Westley Wright, Moorpark; Tanner Peters and Mike Vinyard, Royal; and Richard Stock, Agoura.

Members of the second team were: Bryan Berglund and Cody Buckel, Royal; Eric Bernstein and Chance Cross, Simi Valley; Alex Birgel and Jeff Johnson, Thousand Oaks; Dewey Grattan, Moorpark; Brad Greve and JoJo Sharrar, Newbury Park; Steven Keller, Agoura; Shane Kroker and Christian Yelich, Westlake; Adam Landecker and Trevor Nathanson, Calabasas.

Softball

Samantha Fischer of Simi Valley is the MVP of the Marmonte League softball team.

Westlake's Jenna Becerra and Thousand Oaks' Brittany Reynolds are the co-pitchers of the year.

Tiffany Messerschmidt of Thousand Oaks is the offensive player of the year. Keilani Jennings of Newbury Park and Briana Stephan of Simi Valley are the co-defensive players of the year.

Named to the all-league first team were: Desiree Beltran and Kim Green, Agoura; Caylin Campbell and Nora Sobczak, Westlake; Nicole Checkie and Hailee Hanna, Newbury Park; Tori Flores and Taylor Neumann, Moorpark; Marla Mathews and Carisa Mudgett, Thousand Oaks; Colleen Nilles and Liz Tsipouras, Royal; Kelli-Jo Killingsworth, Amber Olive, Amanda Oliveto and Jessica Soria, Simi Valley.

Members of the second team were: Karli Adkins, Jackie Manzer, Emily Martino and Paris Shipp, Thousand Oaks; Rebecca Esquivel, Melissa Preish and Justine Rodriguez, Westlake; Danielle Fletcher, Moorpark; Chelsee Howard, Newbury Park; Sammi Mallory, Royal; Julie Lewis, Andrea Smith and Stefany Valentino, Agoura; Ali Mapes, Tawny Reeger and Haley Thomas, Simi Valley.

Boys' volleyball

Royal's Trevor Jones is the Marmonte League boys' volleyball player of the year.

Named to the all-league first team were: Kyle Auge, Royal; Cyrus Kiani and Chad Kingi, Thousand Oaks; Tyler Brennen, Agoura; Trevor Willenberg, Newbury Park; and Scott Kevorken, Westlake.

Members of the second team were: Jerame Maas, Tyler Peterson and Chase Boswell, Royal; Spencer Chung and Michael Taxter, Thousand Oaks; Nate Thompson and Mike Hatch, Agoura.

Third-team selections were: David Carranza, Simi Valley; Austin Kingi, Thousand Oaks; Travis Zeller and Colby Cameron, Newbury Park; Aaron Fredgant, Agoura; Matt Janke, Royal; Chris Bartnicki, Calabasas; and Keats Stanley, Westlake.

Boys' tennis

Alex Johnson of Thousand Oaks is the Marmonte League boys' tennis player of the year.

Kyle McMorrow and Marcos Giron of Thousand Oaks were named to the singles first team with Darren Dahl of Agoura, Zach Drost and Ian Stanley of Westlake.

The first-team doubles players were: Ken Wang, Thousand Oaks; Jeff Rebhun, Darin Rosen, Jason May, Yakov Fridman, Shaya Nayyerhabbi and Matt Mueller, Calabasas; Dominic Insogna and Jonathon Kotzin, Westlake; Spencer Stendel and Adam Luong, Simi Valley.

William Sokurski and Josh Gartman of Calabasas made the singles second team with Moorpark's Evan Sandlin, Newbury Park's Sean Huxley and Thousand Oaks' Matt Skwaruzynski.

Second-team doubles players were: Daniel Greentree and Richie Greentree, Westlake; Young Kim and Brian Moon, Thousand Oaks; Sid Jairam and Josh Santiago, Simi Valley.

Boys' golf

Brandon Hagy of Westlake is the MVP of the Marmonte League boys' golf team.

Earning places on the all-league first team were: Marshall Colby, Westlake; Danny Katz, Kyle Holden and Chris Gilbert, Royal; Kyler Sauer, Thousand Oaks; Cameron Tennant, Calabasas; and Chase Patten, Simi Valley.

Making the all-league second team were: Chris Doyle, Scott Patterson and Jake Katz, Westlake; Brent Duclos, Moorpark; Julian Ho and Bobby Holden, Royal.
