Moorpark hosts workshops for aspiring homeowners
Moorpark will host three workshops this month for potential first-time homebuyers about affordable housing opportunities in the city.
Pre-screening applications will determine if a buyer appears eligible to participate in a lottery that includes up to 25 affordable homes available in the Pardee housing development, north of downtown.
Nine of the units have been sold or are in escrow, said Nancy Burns, a senior management analyst with the city.
Interested buyers must attend one of these meetings: 6:30 p.m. June 16, 17 and 19. The last two meetings will also be translated into Spanish. Reservations are required.
Income limits and deed restrictions will apply. The following annual income limits apply per household: A one-person household income must be $30,001 to $48,000; two-person household, $34,301 to $54,850; three-person household, $38,551 to $61,700; four-person household, $42,851 to $68,550, and a five-person household, $46,301 to $74,050.
For reservations, call 517-6316.
