CAMARILLO

Baby-sitting Clinic offered Saturday

Camarillo Health Care District is offering a Baby-sitting Clinic for those 11 to 15 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at 3639 E. Las Posas Road.

The class will provide instructions concerning the care of infants, toddlers and older children. What to do in emergencies, and what is expected from the baby sitter will be included.

Cost is $12 for Camarillo/Somis residents and $14 for out-of-area residents. For more information, or to register, call 388-1952, ext. 100.

SIMI VALLEY

Library workshop blends music, summer reading

TrebleMakers, a Musikgarten Academy, will offer a musical workshop at the Simi Valley Library in keeping with its "Catch the Reading Bug" summer reading program on July 30.

Children can build and decorate a musical craft that will be used in this combination of music, creative movement and book reading.

This free demonstration will begin at 1 p.m. for ages 2 to 4, and at 3 p.m. for ages 5 to 8. TrebleMakers also hosts a Musical Story Time in the children's section of the Simi Valley Library on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. Children can sing and read along with the instructor and learn to explore the importance of literacy through books, puppets and musical finger play.

The Simi Valley Library is at 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.

AGOURA HILLS

Weeklong city tennis camps begin Aug. 4

The Agoura Hills Department of Community Services is offering weeklong tennis camps for those ages 5 to 16.

Tennis camps will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon during the week of Aug. 4 at Agoura High School, 28645 W. Driver Ave.

The cost for each camp is $150. For more information, call 818-597-7361.
