Adult football team emerges in Ventura
Adult football leagues are nothing new to Southern California but there is a new emerging team within your local community. The Pacific View Sabers is an adult amateur football team created to give football enthusiasts the opportunity to continue playing the sport they love.
This team is part of the United Football Alliance, a newly formed league bringing teams under one umbrella to play against each other. There are over 10 teams that stretch as far as Las Vegas. The Sabers roster is open to anyone wishing to play or coach at a higher level. The team is made up of players from many walks of life in our local work force. Construction workers, welders, bodyguards and business owners are what make up this team's roster. The team practices twice a week to hone their skills and prepare themselves for the upcoming season. This is not your average football team, this is a hard-nosed hitting team ready to make an impact of the amateur football world.
The team was created by Brett Bartels and Noe Navarro who wished to share in their joy of the game with others in their hometown. The team was built from the ground up. Their website, www.thesabers.com, gives more information about uniforms, contact information and scheduling.
With the season less than a month away the team is still looking to add players and coaches to its roster. For a small fee of 200 dollars anyone who is over the age of 18 and physical able to play will be welcome to this football family.
