Gunman takes cash from Longs Drugs

A Ventura drug store was robbed Monday, but no one was injured, police said.

A man wearing a black baseball cap, dark jacket and jeans walked into the Longs Drugs at 50 N. Ashwood Ave. about 7 a.m., pointed a gun at employees and forced them to lie on the floor, according to the Ventura Police Department. He then forced the manager to open the store safe.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of money, put it in a duffle bag and left the store, police said.

Anyone with information about the crime can phone Ventura police at 339-4394 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Tipsters who give information that leads to an arrest could receive up to a $1,000 reward.

What is the difference between Oxnard and Ventura?? There is no difference, the local gangs are taking control of both cities. Get rid of the gang members and there will be no gangs. When there are no gangs the crime rate will drop considerably..........all that would be left are the tweakers.....they are less likely to commit violent crimes...they prefer identity theft. That way they can sleep all day and commit crimes at night....lol
