Two students ham it up at St. Matthew's Children's Center

St. Matthew's Children's Center, a non-profit preschool and after-school child care provider in Newbury Park, is now accepting fall registration of students. The school offers preschool classes and child care for families in the Newbury Park area. Among the activities offered at the preschool are age-appropriate preparation for Kindergarten, a school garden, playground, arts and crafts, and more.

The school is an effort of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, which started the preschool a few years ago to provide a reliable, local source of child care for parents in the area. At the time, there was a severe shortage of preschools to serve the community. Children from any religion, church, or faith is welcome at the school. In addition to preschool care, the Children's Center also offers school age care and walks kids up to the center from Banyan Elementary school during the school year.

Parents interested in learning more about the programs at St. Matthew's should contact Narima Latif, the Children's Center director, at (805)480-3805 for a tour or more information.
