Camarillo Community Band--Linda Rhymes on French Horn

Music fills the air at the Camarillo Community Band concert on Thursday, July 24th at 7 pm in Constitution Park. The Camarillo Community Band has been proudly sponsored by Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District for 23 years.

Selections planned for this concert include Highlights from OLIVER! Les Miserables, marches by John Phillip Sousa and great concert band selections.

Every Thursday in July the Camarillo Community Band invites a different director who brings his/her own unique musical style and a variety of musical selections for the band and audience alike to enjoy.

Audience and band members alike eagerly anticipate the return of Julie Judd to conduct our concert on July 24th. Mrs. Judd has been Director of Bands at Chaparral Middle School in Moorpark for 13 years. Ms. Judd has been the organizer of the Ventura County Middle School Honor Band since its inception in 2006. She was Guest Conductor for the Orange County Middle School Honor Band in January 2003. Her Bachelor Degree in Music Education is from Florida State University and her Masters in Wind Conducting is from the University of South Florida, Tampa. She holds memberships in the National Band Association and Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association. She also plays trumpet in the Gold Coast Wind Ensemble. She is married to Jeff Judd.

Bring chairs, blankets and a picnic dinner to enjoy an evening of great music. All children in the audience are given the chance to conduct the band.

Our last concert will be on 7/31 at 7 PM at Constitution Park next to City Hall next to Camarillo City Hall. The Camarillo Community Band welcomes the Pacific Coast Highlander Pipe Band for a special guest appearance at our July 31st concert.
