Seminar to address geriatric care

The Senior and Family Resource Group of the Conejo is sponsoring a free seminar to address issues of the "Sandwich Generation" — those families caught between raising their own children and caring for aging parents — at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, near the public library.

Professional geriatric care managers Claudine Thomas and Lindsay Davidheiser will discuss how individuals and their families can ensure that their healthcare wishes and long-term goals are met.

The program also will explore the role of geriatric care managers as advisers in senior care and how they work with other professionals in medicine, finance, in-home and assisted living, real estate and estate planning.

Space is limited. Reservations can be made by calling 492-8300.
