Conejo Oaks end road trip with 4-1 loss to Foresters
The Conejo Oaks can't seem to figure out the Santa Barbara Foresters as they lost for the fourth consecutive game to the Foresters, 4-1. With the loss, the Oaks (17-14-1, 12-11) finished 2-2 on a four-game road trip and are 7-9 on the road this season.
The Foresters (24-14, 10-9) secured the victory with a three-run fifth inning that broke a 1-1 tie. The Oaks had rallied to tie the score in the fourth after going down 1-0 in the bottom of the third.
In the fourth inning, designated hitter Matt Scioscia put the Oaks on the board with an RBI single to right-center field that scored shortstop Danny Muno.
The Oaks will take on the Conejo Valley Hogs at Ullman Stadium on the campus of Cal Lutheran today at 1 p.m.
