Wet Weather Returning

(OWSweather)

Dry air will be the main story during the beginning of the weekend. The next story to open it's books will be a major monsoon surge. The sharpest and deepest one of the season is poised to hit from later Saturday and last into Tuesday. The surge will accompany a deeper moisture field. Bases should be lower in thunderstorms that do form.

Because of the depth of the moisture field, showers and thunderstorms will be possible across a great deal of the forecast area which includes the coastal and valley regions. A SE flow will give chance for the Elsinore Convergence Zone to make it's season debut.

The only thing that will make these thunderstorms not happen would be debris clouds. Since this is indeed a flow from the SE, mid level clouds are possible during the moisture's stay and can inhibit storm development.

Needles to say we will have showers across the area regardless of mid level clouds or not.
