Children get creative at robotics summer camp
Robotics & Things of Simi Valley has scheduled its fourth annual Robotics Camp/Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 11 through Aug. 15 at Sophie's Education Corner, 2699 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.
The Robotics Camp/Workshop is designed for children 8 to 14 and will use both California Science Standards as well as and National Science Standards to create robots, robotic creatures and robotic vehicles.
Goals and objectives will be created by setting tasks using Robotix kits, included in the registration, that are given to the kids to be used every day.
Kids will have an opportunity to realize the importance of math, science and engineering.
The tuition for the weeklong camp/workshop is $299, including a Robotix kit with a retail value of more than $150.
