Moorpark High will have four new coaches for 2008-2009

More from When the members of the Moorpark High athletic department get together this fall for their first staff meeting, there will be several new faces in the crowd.
Athletic director Rob Dearborn announced the hiring of four new coaches for the 2008-2009 school year.
Ed Gutierrez, a 1983 graduate of Moorpark High, has been hired as the new boys' basketball coach.
A former basketball player at the school, Gutierrez has been an assistant basketball coach at the school on and off for the last 20 years. He also spent two seasons at the boys' head basketball coach at Royal High.
Libby Hare, another former basketball player at the school, is taking over the girls' varsity basketball program.
Hare was the girls' freshman basketball coach two years ago, leading the team to a Marmonte League title. She took last year off to have a baby, but returns this season to lead the varsity squad.
Art Medina is taking over as the boys' varsity volleyball coach.
Medina is a former high school and collegiate volleyball player. He was a member of the Ventura County Fire Department, where he reached the rank of captain before recently retiring.
Tony Knight is taking over the varsity wrestling team. A former wrestler at Thousand Oaks High, Knight teaches at Moorpark. The last few years he has served as an assistant wrestling coach and the offensive line coach for the junior varsity football team.
