Obama Campaign Office Set to Open in Ojai August 4, 2008!
Ventura County will celebrate the Grand Opening of its own Obama for America campaign office with a birthday celebration for Senator Obama from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, August 4th.
Located at the corner of Montgomery Street and East Matilija, the office will be a gathering spot for citizens from across Ventura County to support the campaign and make a difference in this election.
Office manager Sue Broidy sees the rare opportunity for citizens to celebrate Senator Obama as a person while supporting the ideology of hope and change he will bring to the White House. " Senator Obama and the campaign have urged everyone to make this their campaign and we all share the same passion, enthusiasm, and commitment."
Like many across America, at the urging of the Obama campaign, she and the rest of the Ojai for Obama steering committee took it upon themselves to raise the funds and establish a campaign office in their own community to fundraise, to register voters and to Get Out the Vote. We all know what to do, so we did it, says committee member Stephen Rose, Were from different backgrounds, but were coming together to show Senator Obama were here to help him become President of the United States of America. Other members of the committee include actor Peter Strauss, teacher Candy Pope, and attorney David Bush.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, the office will not be the stodgy place often associated with campaigns. Wednesday Night Pizza and Phone-Banking, FUNdraisers" and Friday Night Live receptions with music by local musicians are a few of the activities being discussed for the next four months. The office is taking to heart Senator Obamas call to unite under a banner of friendship. Rose adds, Were going to have fun while we do what it takes to get Senator Obama in the White House. We hope the students out for summer break remember their future is at stake. You dont have to be able to vote to help win this election.
The office is located at 323 Matilija Street, Suite 116, at the corner of Montgomery Street, down from the Sunday Farmers Market. For more information go to the website: OjaiforObama.com or e-mail: info@ojaiforobama.com.
We look forward to seeing you on August 4 at the Grand Opening and Birthday Celebration. Lets make a difference! Come by to say hi and make a donation and see what you can do to help!

What, no ethical disclaimer at the top of this news story??
Office manager and Obama supporter, Sue Broidy, posting this wholly disengenuous and unethically biase fictious 3rd party news story here is exhibiting the exact shameful political underhanded tricks that Senator Obama has come to be known for in this election cycle. People that seriously examine and see such tricks coming from Obama and his supporters have long since realized that the Senator is just another tawdry progressive liberal 'politician' who will say or do anything to get votes and thinks so little of the voting electorate. I reject him, his antics and this article's author for her obivous attempt at subterfusion of the Internet readers here. What ever happened to being 'up-front' with voters and doing what's right?
