Appleton House adult shelter given $5,000 grant
The Teleflex Foundation has awarded the Turning Point Foundation a $5,000 grant to support Appleton House in Simi Valley.
Appleton House has provided housing for adults with mental illness since 2005.
"The Teleflex Foundation's commitment is significant," said Clyde Reynolds, executive director of Turning Point, a Ventura County nonprofit mental health agency that provides shelter, housing, rehabilitation, recovery and support services for mentally ill adults. "We are truly grateful."
The Teleflex Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Teleflex Inc., which provides aerospace, medical and other products. Telair International Group, a division of Teleflex, is located in Simi Valley.
