McMorrow reaches final in Seal Beach

More from TennisThousand Oaks' Kyle McMorrow defeated Alexander Sundling of Thousand Oaks 7-6, 6-3 in the semifinals of the 122nd SCTA Open Sectional Championships and Wild Card Tournament on Saturday at Seal Beach.
In the other semifinal, top seed Robert Yim of Henderson, Nev., defeated Adrian Bohane of West Palm Beach, Fla., 6-2, 6-2.
McMorrow and Yim have not lost a set in their four matches.
The men's winner of this tournament gets a wild card into the qualifying for the Countrywide Classic at UCLA. The women's winner gets a wild card into the qualifying for the East West Bank Classic.
Wetterholm advances: Cal Lutheran's Paul Wetterholm won two rounds during the first day of ITA Summer Circuit tournament at Ventura College. Former VC player Dusty Kemick also won two rounds.
