Ventura, CA - Bella Vista, the premiere active adult community in the City of Ventura, will be sponsoring its second "Senior Expo" in the community's Recreation Center on Saturday, July 19th from 11am - 3pm. All active adults and their families are invited to attend and experience an array of products, amenities and services available to seniors in the Ventura area.
One of the highlights of the event will be provided, free of charge, by Community Memorial Hospital and their experienced staff. Attendees can participate in individual heart health assessment screenings. Bella Vista and CMH feel this complimentary screening will be very important to all active adults who understand the heart's pivotal role in overall well-being. CMH will also offer free on-site cholesterol screenings with printed results and explanations as well as information on their 5-Year Heart Program. This program offered through CMH informs participants how to improve overall heart health by evaluating and monitoring many leading factors that contribute to heart disease including body mass index, cholesterol, blood pressure, EKG and fat and water percentages.
Other exhibitor's at this year's Expo will include LA Fitness, the City of Ventura Senior Programs Coordinator and Buenaventura/Olivas Golf Courses. A sales director from the Ensure family of products will provide samples and product information. Ventura College will be providing adult curriculum information and experienced travel agents will discuss "designed for seniors" tours. Estate planning will also be addressed by a local specialist as well as wealth management. Refreshments will be provided by local eateries and vendors.
