Asphalt roadwork begins at college
Asphalt will be replaced on several internal Moorpark College roadways between now and the start of the fall semester Aug. 18.
The southernmost Collins Drive entrance to America's Teaching Zoo, the Performing Arts Center and the Music and Communications buildings will be closed starting today.
Drivers can use the entrance off Collins Drive just to the north of the affected entrance during the construction period.
Parking will not be permitted in the Performing Arts (PA) and Music (M) lots.
The Moorpark Transit and the VISTA bus stop will be relocated to the top of the stairs above Fountain Hall fountain, between parking lots A and B.
Pedestrian access from the AA, A, B and C lots will be maintained across the work area.
However, specific access points will be closed while work in individual areas is finished.
