Smith's 'Hancock' gives holiday box office a big lift

Will Smith's box office superpowers remain intact. His "Hancock" led the Fourth of July weekend with a $62.6 million debut. The previous weekend's top flick, the Disney-Pixar animated tale "WALL-E," slipped to second place with $32.5 million.

The top 10 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by gross, as compiled Monday by Media By Numbers LLC are:

1. "Hancock," $62.6 million.

2. "WALL-E," $32.5 million.

3. "Wanted," $20 million.

4. "Get Smart," $11.1 million.

5. "Kung Fu Panda," $7.3 million.

6. "The Incredible Hulk," $4.9 million.

7. "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," $3.8 million.

8. "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl," $3.3 million.

9. "Sex and the City," $2.4 million.

10. "You Don't Mess With the Zohan," $2 million.
