Salsa Dash raises $5,000 for society
The Salsa Dash in Oxnard drew 332 runners and raised $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, organizers said.
"It was a nice, cool morning for a run, and everything went well," said Vince Behrens, chairman of the Oxnard Downtown Management District.
A total of 150 volunteers were there June 28 to help with the 5K and 10K run/walk events, which wound their way through downtown Oxnard, Behrens said.
The dash is a precursor to the 15th annual Oxnard Salsa Festival on July 26-27.
