A Ventura man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after being accused of stabbing his brother and sister-in-law Sunday morning, police said.
Officers responded to a call of a family disturbance in the 4600 block of Dean Drive about 11:15 a.m. and found two people who had been stabbed. Charles Ross, 47, had hidden in his bedroom but confronted officers and was taken into custody, police said.
Ross was arguing with his brother when he reportedly stabbed his sister-in-law, Leahi Ross, 45, of Ventura, in the neck, Sgt. David Dickey said. He was then confronted by his brother, John Ross, 45, of Ventura, and reportedly stabbed him in the abdomen, Dickey said.
John Ross was taken to Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, and Leahi Ross was taken to the Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura. Police said both were listed in serious condition Sunday.

Do you feel the love Ventura County?

Funny when it doesn't involve hispanics, you don't see the usual racist fools saying 'those dang white people at it again'. I'm guessing they were arguing over who was buying the next bag of dope.

Racism isn't only verbal but suggestive as well. Why do people even bring it up on here? Some people have nothing better to do that stir up the crap.

I know for a fact the brother suffers from a mental illness, schizophrenia. This is the second time something like this has happened involving the brother. Someone should really look at doing something to aid in getting him permanent help rather than spouting all this stuff they no nothing about.

uniqflwr - thanks for the insight into what might have happened. If he truly is schizophrenic, no telling what might have set him off. How scary!
Has he been in treatment before?

no, no......i meant i was about to say 'those dang white people'
geeeeeee it's a joke.
but mental illness isn't. way too many are not being treated for their illnesses. i have a friend that certainly wouldn't even open the door to her own brother. it's one thing to remove a person from danger, it's another to get them the help they need.

whatever: what other crimes are you talking about? just curious.

There were probably no racist commments because the white folk don't commit 99.9% of the crimes we read about in VC.

Yes he has been treated but you can not force him to take his med's or go to treatment. It was very scary to have him do what he did.
As for the rest of you who think that every thing is done around drugs or that white people do not do bad crimes, you heads in the sand. This is about a family that has had a very ugly and devastating crime happen to them and it was done by a family member. NOW you put yourselves in our place and see how much you can understand our pain and heartache. Leahi Ross

I saw the whole thing go down! I'm grateful that my children and I weren't hurt but living with that insane man was a time bomb waiting to blow. As for all you ignorant people You have no clue what you are talking about, you dont know the whole story, get a life and try to have some compassion! (roomate P Hernandez)

Why would you have your children "living with that insane man" that was "a timb bomb waiting to blow" I'm very sorry for what has happened to this family but never would I allow my children to be exposed to a time bomb, that doesn't seem safe or healthy to me.

iluvsp......lets see 98% of the gangs and taggers in Ventura County are Hispanic. Most of them are here illegally yet you cry racism when these morons are out committing violent crimes and people comment on it??? If you dont want to hear comments about Hispanic criminals then tell your cousins to stop breaking that law.
