School district office to close on Fridays
Simi Valley school officials have announced they plan to cut utility expenses this summer by closing district offices on Fridays.
The Simi Valley Unified School District will close on Fridays through Aug. 1 at most locations. Simi Valley Adult School and Career Services and other designated summer school sites, however, will stay open.
Simi Valley Unified employees will be available to the public for business transactions Monday through Thursday, according to the district.
In the summer, offices will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch. Regular days and hours — 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday — will resume Aug. 4.
For more information, call the district office at 306-4506.

So if they work 7:30 to 5:30 with an hour lunch that will be 9 hours of work minus the 2 breaks of 15 minutes a piece for 8.5 hours a day vs the regular 7.5 hour day they would usually do when working the 5 day week at 8.5 hours per day.
So the actual extra time put in will be 1 hour per day for 4 days and the time lost in productivity will be 4 hours per week.
Good job on saving money.

It says that is when they are open to the public. That doesn't mean that is the total hours worked.
