@TO-Cal Stand Out hed:Pop stop Summershine Pop Festival, Ventura The ear candy will be doubly sweet Saturday when twins Pam and Teri Gartner take the stage during Ventura's Summershine Pop Festival, a daylong event that promises to be a melodic rush from start to finish. The Gartner sisters, who were born in Santa Clarita and moved to Fillmore when they were 12, play sweet and catchy folk-pop tunes. Pam got into music first, teaching herself to play a toy keyboard when she was 8, and soon convinced Teri to start a band. Their first single, "Lucy," is about their cat, and it's available on Oxnard's Yay! Records label. Yay! is producing the Summershine festival, which will be headlined by British post-punk upstart Phil Wilson, once a member of the June Brides. Also on the bill will be Maria, Apple Orchard, Tall Tales, the Tartans, Sway, Silver Screen, Watercolor Paintings, Bank Holiday and Dew Wats RT. Tickets are $5 for the festival, which will start at 1 p.m. at the Art Barn, 856 E. Thompson Blvd., Ventura. For information, visit http://www.myspace.com/summershinefest08.
