Council, school board OK construction plan
The Fillmore City Council and the Fillmore Unified School District board have agreed to a phased schedule to construct an effluent disposal and reuse system for Fillmore Middle School and an adjoining area.
At the joint meeting Tuesday evening, both sides voted to approve the plan, which divides the project into four phases and allows the school to continue functioning during construction.
The first two phases are on school grounds. Work on the first phase is scheduled to begin in September.
The project is part of Fillmore's water recycling plan.
