Girl buried in beach landslide is rescued
A girl buried up to her neck in a landslide at a Pacifica beach is recovering after being rescued by a man who dug furiously to free her as debris rained down.
A steep section of beach at the edge of an RV park gave way Saturday afternoon, trapping the teenager and barely missing two women who ran for help.
Witnesses said Michael Robert Keller ran down the hill and dug the girl out with his bare hands. She was hospitalized with minor injuries.
A section of the beach was closed as investigators looked into what caused the slide.
