Steve Lousen, a 17-year veteran of residential real estate who has achieved leading nationwide production standing based on "superior communication with clients utilizing his analytical skills, and having a problem solving attitude," has joined Troop Real Estate, Inc. in Moorpark, announces Peter Greer, manager of the office.

Lousen comes to Troop after 12 years of service with a top national franchise firm in Moorpark. While there his sales volume earned him status among the top 2 percent in the company nationally for more than nine years.

Since entering real estate in 1991, Lousen has sold more than 300 homes in an area encompassing Moorpark, Simi Valley, San Fernando Valley, Conejo Valley and Santa Clarita Valley.

"Over 75 percent of my full-service business is based on referrals from past clients and their families," Lousen said. "I have an old school approach grounded on daily communication and extensive follow-up with clients. That's because I believe consumers want to know you're there for them 24/7. My biggest joy is being in a supermarket and a youngster notices me and says, Hi, Mr. House Man.'"

Lousen said he selected Troop to advance his career because the company is very progressive, and its managers listen and respond. "It's not a my way or the highway approach," he said.

Lousen is optimistic about the current housing market. "I'm projecting a good year overall, assuming interest rates remain at historically low levels, and certain factors come into play."

Lousen is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in health administration and a business minor. Active in the local community, he has coached more than 25 youth teams in Moorpark, including roller and ice hockey and basketball. Lousen previously worked for Southland Corporation, FEMA, and is a member of Moorpark D.A.R.T.

He and his wife, Cathy, live in Moorpark and have two grown sons.
