Highlights: Oxnard — Jessica Alcala scored the lone run in the fifth inning.

At Oxnard, Thursday

Highlights: Oxnard — Courtney Checky pitched a no-hitter while allowing one unearned run. Catcher Janae Borrego hit the Condors' first home run on its home field.

Record: Oxnard 7-5, 2-0 Western State Conference.

OXNARD 17, CITRUS 8

At Citrus

Highlights: Oxnard — Starter Daniel Abeloe got the win by allowing one earned run in 623 innings. Aaron Breslow scored four runs and had four hits, including a home run. Daniel Carrasco hit a three-run home run, finishing with two hits with four RBIs. Michael Sliger had two hits and three RBIs. Eric Navarro added two hits and two RBIs.

Records: Oxnard 4-5, Citrus 5-5.

At Rio Hono Tournament

Highlights: Ventura — The Pirates placed third, finishing with a team total of 374. Palomar took first at 372 and Bakersfield second at 373. Satch Herrmann fired an even-par 72 and Ben Carter had a 73. Paul Misko and Russell Boring shot 74s.

Highlights: Cal Lutheran — No. 2 singles player Ryan Lasilla won a team-high six games, falling 6-4, 6-2 to Larry Wang.

CIF-SS Division I-AA playoffs, first round, at Simi Valley

Highlights: Simi Valley — Lorne Jackson had 28 points, nine assists and five steals. Mike Meza scored 26 points and Brad Lewis had 18. Simi Valley, which made 10 3-pointers in the game, faces Long Beach Wilson in the next round.

Records: Simi Valley 26-1, Servite 14-14.

THOUSAND OAKS 57, MISSION VIEJO 34

CIF-SS Division I-AA playoffs, first round, at Thousand Oaks

Highlights: Thousand Oaks — Michael Whalen had a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Cyrus Kiani scored 12 points. Thousand Oaks faces JSerra on the road in the next round.

Records: Thousand Oaks 20-7, Mission Viejo 19-10.

LOYOLA 71, AGOURA 65

CIF-SS Division I-AA playoffs, first round, at Loyola

Highlights: Agoura — Doug Shumway tied for the game high with 20 points, and also had nine rebounds, five assists and two charges taken. Peter Diaz added 13 points and Kevin Graf had 11. Ben Ricard added eight points and nine rebounds.

Records: Loyola 20-7, Agoura 16-11.

HARVARD-WESTLAKE 81, WESTLAKE 49

CIF-SS Division I-AA playoffs, first round, at Harvard-Westlake

Highlights: Westlake — Alec Hess had 13 points and Kyle Olandt had 12. Mat Mazarei scored seven points and had eight assists.

CIF-SS Division I-A playoffs, first round, at Glendora

Highlights: Ventura — James Ennis had 28 points and eight rebounds. Nick Zavala scored 11 points and James Staniland had 10.

CIF-SS Division II-A playoffs, first round, at Highland

Highlights: Camarillo — Matt Kitagawa and Kyle Griese each had eight points.

Record: Camarillo 15-12.

CIF-SS Division II-A playoffs, first round, at Ocean View

Highlights: Channel Islands — Jordan Harris scored 14 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had five assists. Henry Cho scored 13 points.

SANTA CLARA 55, CABRILO 33

CIF-SS Division III-AA playoffs, first round, at Santa Clara

Highlights: Santa Clara — Cierre Wood, James Wilder and Randy Vines all had double-doubles. Wood scored 14 points, Wilder scored 13 and Vines had 12. All three grabbed 10 rebounds.

Records: Santa Clara 20-3, Cabrillo 15-11.

OAKS CHRISTIAN 55, RIBET ACADEMY 54

CIF-SS Division III-AA playoffs, first round, at Ribet Academy

Highlights: Oaks Christian — Tyler McGrath scored 29 points with five rebounds and freshman Taylor Hange scored 12 points. Oaks Christian survived two Ribet Academy 3-pointers in the final 11 seconds that cut the Lions' lead from seven points to one. Oaks Christian hosts St. Joseph-Santa Maria in the second round on Tuesday night.

Records: Oaks Christian 21-6, Ribet Academy 13-14.1.

THACHER 47, NEWBURY PARK ADVENTIST 46

CIF-SS Division V-A playoffs, first round,

at Newbury Park Adventist

Highlights: Thacher — Chris Thomas scored 16 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 15 seconds left that capped off a 15-3 run. Josh Jackson scored 11 points. Thacher faces Rosamond in the next round. Newbury Park Adventist — Marcus Paquini scored 12 points.

Records: Thacher 11-7, Newbury Park Adventist 17-6.

FILLMORE 58, CATE 51

CIF-SS Division V-A playoffs, second round, at Cate

Highlights: Fillmore — Noah Aguirre led with 26 points and five rebounds. Pablo Ramos scored 11. Aguirre and Troy Hayes each made two free throws in the final minute to seal the win. Fillmore plays in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Records: Fillmore 14-13, Cate 9-7.

ST. BONAVENTURE 71, LAGUNA BLANCA 59

CIF-SS Division V-A playoffs, second round, at Glendora

Highlights: St. Bonaventure — Bo Mesick had 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Tim Clack scored 14 points. Nick Molina added 13 points and Isaiah Burton scored 11.

Record: St. Bonvaenture 13-13.

(NEWBURY PARK WINS SHOOTOUT 4-2)

CIF-SS Division I playoffs, first round, at Newbury Park

Highlights: Newbury Park — After four overtimes, Vinny Muscarella scored the game-winning goal in the shootout, sending the Panthers into the second round. Muscarella also scored earlier in the game, giving his team a 2-1 lead until Esperanza scored with two minutes left in regulation. David Matic scored in the 12th minute. Newbury Park will play St. Francis. The site will be determined by a coin toss.

Other Division I scores: Quartz Hill 2, Thousand Oaks 0; Crespi 2, Calabasas 1.

Ventura 4, Leuzinger 1

CIF-SS Division II playoffs, first round, at Ventura

Highlights: Ventura — Sal Mora had two assists and one goal. Danny Yutrzenka, James Quante and Easton Tackett scored. It was 4-0 at halftime. Ventura faces JW North in the next round.

Record: Ventura 20-1-5.

PACIFICA 5, PASO ROBLES 1

CIF-SS Division IV playoffs, first round, at Pacifica

Highlights: Team — Raul Yepez scored three goals and Michael Machado Andrew Navarro scored one goal. Pacifica faces La Quinta in the next round.

Record: Pacifica 14-3-1.

Other division IV score: Beverly Hills 2, Oxnard 0.

Salesian 3, Fillmore 0

CIF-SS Division V playoffs, first round, at Salesian

Highlights: Fillmore — Dominic Jasso and keeper Eric Morales played well against the No. 1 seed.

Record: Fillmore 9-1.

Oaks Christian 3, windward 0

CIF-SS Division V playoffs, first round, at Oaks Christian

Highlights: Oaks Christian — John-Paul Herold had a goal and an assist.

Record: Oaks Christian 15-4-3.

CIF-SS Division VI playoffs, at Thacher

Highlights: Thacher — Sarah Brown-Campello scored at the 90-minute, 11-second mark. Ellouise Callander and Tyler Cook had strong games.
