Triunfo YMCA To Host Fundraiser Dinner/Casino Night, March 15
The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Agoura Hills and Oak Park, will celebrate the success of its "Strong Kids" annual fundraising campaign with a casino night dinner on Saturday, March 15 at the Los Robles Banquet Center (299 South Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks). The night, in which the public is invited, starts at 6:30 p.m. and will include live music and a silent auction.
The goal of the Triunfo YMCA Strong Kids fundraising campaign is to raise $110,000. The money will be used to help provide financial aid to families in need and to help subsidize the cost of YMCA programs that cannot be sustained through fees alone. The campaign, which began earlier this month, runs through the beginning of March. "We're hoping we'll reach our goal by the celebration dinner," says Ronnie Stone, executive director of the Triunfo YMCA. "Money raised from the dinner will go towards reaching our goal amount."
For dinner-goers, the Triunfo YMCA will provide free childcare for their children (ages kindergarten through eighth grade) at the YMCA childcare facility at Yerba Buena Elementary School (6098 Reyes Adobe Rd., Agoura). "While parents are enjoying a fun evening out, their children will be enjoying a pajama party, a pizza dinner and group games," says Stone.
The cost of the celebration dinner is $40 per person. The RSVP deadline is March 1. RSVPs can be made by contacting Ronnie Stone at 818-707-9622 or email at rstone@triunfoymca.org.
