RM Student Shares a California Orange with Japanese Visitor

Rather than go to Disneyland, a group of high school students from Japan recently spent a day at Rio Mesa High School.  Chris Moody, a teacher at Rio Mesa, coordinated the school visit.  After a campus tour, Mr. Moody's International Studies students paired up with the Japanese students for the morning. Principal Rene Rickard then treated all the students to lunches prepared by the cafeteria staff. Both the Japanese and American students had a great time learning from each other. To watch some videos of the students in action, follow the links below. Thank you to the staff and students at Rio Mesa!

The Japanese students also toured UCLA and parts of L.A.  They were hosted locally by families in Camarillo, Oxnard, Thousand Oaks and Point Mugu. Thank you, host families!
