Camarillo Rotary Club to host "Viva La Comida" event
For 38 years, the Camarillo Rotary Club has been inviting the community to come together to enjoy an exciting, delicious and fun-filled evening with all of the flavor of old Mexico. This year's special event will be held Monday, Feb. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Camarillo Community Center, 1605 E. Burnley Street.
One of the Rotary Club's major fundraisers of the year, Viva La Comida results in important dollars in support of the Camarillo Family YMCA, the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo and the Rotary Club's youth organizations, Interact and Rotaract.
The dinner features enchiladas and all the trimmings, with beer and margaritas available for purchase.
This year's dinner is being held one month later than usual due to construction work that has been taking place at the Camarillo Community Center. Tickets for the dinner are $10, with youth 12 and under just $5. Tickets for the event that is expected to attract more than 1,000 local residents will be available at the door.
