Morning report: High winds expected today
Police and Fire: Major injuries were reported in a traffic collision on Highway 101 northbound just south of Las Posas Road in Camarillo early this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported about 2:40 a.m.
Firefighters responded to the scene of the crash to free a person who was trapped in a vehicle.
Further details were not immediately available.

Traffic: At 7:35 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was reporting traffic hazards on Highway 118 eastbound at Yosemite Avenue in Simi Valley and on Highway 23 southbound at Avenida de los Arboles in Thousand Oaks.
A non-injury crash was reported at 6:26 a.m. on Walnut Drive at Rose Avenue outside Oxnard.

Weather: Partly cloudy and windy conditions with a chance of showers are expected this morning, but the sun will come out this afternoon, the National Weather Service reported.
Temperatures in the 50s and 60s and wind gusts as high as 50 miles per hour are expected in county lowlands.
A high wind warning is in place through 6 p.m. today for Ventura County mountains, where gusts are expected to exceed 60 miles per hour.
