Man arrested in child molestation case

A 40-year-old Port Hueneme man was arrested last week on suspicion of molesting a 2-year-old girl, police said.

Martin Villa, who rents a room from a family in the 400 block of Bard Road, allegedly had the girl locked in his room about 10:45 p.m. Feb. 7, according to a statement from Port Hueneme police.

The girl's parents found her locked in Villa's bedroom, and, after taking her out of the room, her mother saw evidence that she had been molested, police said.

The parents immediately called police, and responding officers arrested Villa on suspicion of committing a lewd act upon a child, police said.

Villa was held Wednesday in Ventura County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 22 in Ventura County Superior Court.

The bail amount in this case is a slap in the face! This man molested a two year old baby !!!!He should be held at a much higher bail or no bail at all !!!!! My prayers to this child......May God erase this from her mind and not leave eternal damage on her.

You cannot rehabilitate child sex predators. Cannot be done. They should be lobotomized or executed for crimes against humanity.

I commend the parents for having the strength to call the cops...

I don't know if I would have been able to keep from kicking the living stuffing out of this sick S.O.B.

My paryers go to the little girl and her parents.

Let this be a warning to all those parents with small children when opening up their home to strangers.

Renting a room to someone is risky at best. I'm willing to bet this isn't the first time he molested a child.

There is a statistic that says a child molester has committed this crime at least 100 times upon innocent kids before they were caught and arrested.

WATCH YOUR KIDS!!!
