Going Green? Solar Energy for Home and Office

Ventura College Community Education is currently taking registrations for a new, 3-hour workshop titled "Going Green:  Solar for Home and Office."

The class will be taught by engineer Gary Barsley.   Mr. Barsley has  more than 25 years experience in environmental technologies, including solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, hydroelectric, nuclear, coal, gas, and oil.

The class will cover the cost of transitioning to solar power, how solar energy works, what incentives are available, potential cost savings and other benefits of this technology.

"Many people are become more and more serious about solar energy but need additional background before making the commitment.  We are happy to offer this class to the community to help individuals make informed decisions," notes Karen Gorback, Assistant Dean for Community and Economic Development.

The class will be held at Ventura College on Tuesday, February 26 from 6:30 pm -- 9:30 pm and at Moorpark College on Saturday, March 8 from 9:00 am -- noon.  Registration for either session is $49.00.
