Most of us would consider being born with severe Cerebral Palsy, being confined to a wheelchair, and having a marked speech impediment to be too much to deal with. However, despite his disability, Sourena Vasseghi has thrived where few others have not. At age 29, Vasseghi has already become an accomplished author and lecturer, empowering his audience with the skills to transform fears and insecurities into strengths.

The evening is sponsored by the Conejo Valley Friendship Circle, a local nonprofit organization that provides programs for children with Down's syndrome, autism, ADD or other emotional or physical challenges and their families.

With the help of an interpreter, Vasseghi empowers audiences with the skills necessary to create passionate, successful life and career paths.

"This is an evening not to be missed," says Chani Erdvin, one of the Program Coordinators at the Friendship Circle. "Whether you want to learn innovative adaptive life skills, how to better achieve personal goals, or kick your household into high gear, Sourena will help sharpen your focus."

Friendship Circle teens volunteers, their parents and parents of children with special needs are invited to attend. The cost is $10 per adult (teens are free of charge).
