Strong winds to surface overnight tonight into Thursday Morning.
The Ontario Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the Ventura County areas for Thursday for winds gusting over 50+ mph in gusts. The weather service is a private forecast service and is not backed by the National Weather Service or NOAA. The service has proven that It's watches and warnings are accurate and trustworthy.
Strong winds are set to surface the mountains and valleys before sunrise Thursday morning with force. The winds were forecasted days ago by lead forecaster Kevin Martin.
"The winds will be of the Santa Ana variety, but without fire dangers.", says Martin.
The winds are expected to die down over Thursday evening, and return overnight briefly before dying off over the day Friday.
A hint of rain on the way? "There is a chance of a rain window toward the 20th or just after.", says Martin.
The Ontario Weather Service released the UJEAS February 2008 forecast at the start of the month. This did forecast a rain window around the 20th. Looking forward to more from the Ontario Weather Service.
