Midtown council to hold elections

The Midtown Ventura Community Council will hold elections Thursday and hear a presentation about the expansion of Community Memorial Hospital.

The neighborhood group will elect its executive committee. Nominations will be taken by phone up until the meeting and from the floor. Eligible nominees must reside in midtown Ventura, have attended at least one council meeting in the previous year and must be present at the 7 p.m. meeting at Cooper Hall, adjacent to Grace Church, 65 MacMillan St.

CMH senior administrators Gary Wilde and Haady Lashkari will discuss the planned renovation and expansion of the hospital.
