Man badly beaten in home robbery

A Ventura man was severely beaten in a home-invasion robbery by three men armed with a gun about 12:04 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The men, wearing masks and dark clothing, forced entry into the residence of Cody Saarloos, 22, in the 100 block of East Lewis Street, ransacked his home and beat him, according to a statement from Ventura Police.

Saarloos' girlfriend also was in the residence but was unharmed, authorities said.

Police said the men fired shots inside the residence during the robbery, but no one was injured from gunfire.

Responding officers found Saarloos badly beaten.

He was treated at Ventura County Medical Center, police said.

Detectives are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery can contact Ventura Police detectives at 339-4394 or Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 385-TALK.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for tips leading to an arrest.

Not necessarily, he could have owed someone money? Just an assumption. Or they just felt anger towards him????
I do hope they catch the creeps and pray the victim recovers fully!

My guess is that non of you were there with the girl. She was face down on the floor in her underware, Scared to death. Only, after the Det. had talked to her for a couple of hours and she came to her mom's house and crawled in bed with her mom and cryed and couldn't get the horrible pictures of her boyfriend getting beat out of her head.

Her boyfriend is on the mend. Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts. Let Peace Reign.

For others that are interested in the actual location, East Lewis St. is in West Ventura off the Avenue.

Yep, I hope they catch the predators...

What is our fair city turning into?
Of course when you tell men they are born of animals (or is that apes?) how else would you expect them to act?
We should keep these two kids in prayer, along with our community. So much for the Avenue Renewal Project, maybe we should pray for the Avenue "Revival" Project?
Blessings to these kids and their families.
