Thailand Dignatary Visits the Conejo Players Theatre

Last Thursday evening, February 7th, the Conejo Players Theatre was honored by a visit from the 39th Foreign Minister of Thailand, Dr. Kantathi Suphamonkhon. He and his wife had heard from a friend that the Players current production of THE KING AND I was a production he should see. THE KING AND I is the story of the former King of Siam, King Mongkut. King Mongkut was the King in the 1860s and Siam is now known as Thailand.

During Dr. Suphamonkhon's visit, he met with the director of the production, Deidre Parmenter and took a moment to be introduced to the audience and say a few words. He was very gracious and even stayed after the show to meet with the cast backstage.

Dr. Suphamonkhon received his PH.D in International Relations from USC and now serves as a fellow at UCLA.
