Mbah a Moute to miss two games

UCLA forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute will miss the next two Pacific-10 road games because of a sprained left ankle. The fifth-ranked Bruins (20-2, 8-1 Pac-10) visit No. 17 Washington State on Thursday and Washington on Saturday.

Mbah a Moute rolled his ankle in the second half of Saturday's 82-60 victory over Arizona. He will be sidelined at least a week.

Top 25 men

Louisville 71, No. 17 Marquette 57: Edgar Sosa scored 18 points and Louisville to snapped Marquette's 14-game home winning streak.

No. 4 Kansas 90, Missouri 71: Darrell Arthur scored nine points in a second-half surge that carried Kansas past Missouri, giving the Jayhawks their 20th straight home victory.

No. 25 Saint Mary's, Calif. 89, Gonzaga 85 (OT): Todd Golden hit his sixth 3-pointer with 1:19 left in overtime and Patty Mills scored the final 10 points of regulation and five more in overtime for host Saint Mary's.

West men

San Diego 61, Pepperdine 58: De'Jon Jackson scored 20 points and San Diego (13-11, 6-1 West Coast Conference) held off a second-half charge from Pepperdine at Malibu.

Freshman Malcolm Thomas had 18 points, 15 rebounds, six blocked shots and four assists for Pepperdine (7-16, 1-6).

Santa Clara 52, Portland 50: John Bryant had 15 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots for host Santa Clara (12-10, 4-3 WCC).

Loyola Marymount 72, San Francisco 67: Loyola Marymount beat San Francisco, sending coach Eddie Sutton's team to defeat a game he earned his 800th career win.

Fresno St. 70, Louisiana Tech 58: Kevin Bell scored 18 points as host Fresno State (1-12, 4-5 WAC) kept Louisiana Tech (3-17, 0-8) winless in Western Athletic Conference play.

Top 25 Women

No. 3 North Carolina 93, No. 11 Duke: At Durham, N.C., LaToya Pringle had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead North Carolina past Duke.

No. 5 Maryland 74, Virginia Tech 71 (OT): Kristie Toliver scored 28 points and Maryland rallied from a 21-point deficit in the first half to beat host Virginia Tech in overtime.
